FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Snider High School will once again celebrate the life of an assistant coach with a special night of volleyball on Sept. 11.

The Lady Panthers will host Concordia in the 2nd annual KB Classic, which honors the memory of Kirstin Brelsfoard, who died in December of 2014.

“She’s the woman who introduced me to the game and brought me into this community,” senior right side hitter Emma Westra says. “You just want to give it her all, and play for her.

In addition to a regular season conference match, the KB Classic serves as an opportunity to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, while raising awareness cancers of all type.

“She reached a lot of young girls through volleyball,” senior middle hitter Meredith Woolsey says. “It’s really nice to see the community come together and recognize her as a person and coach.”
