SYRACUSE, Ind. - Wawasee football heads into the second season under head coach Mike Eschbach.

The Warriors were bit with the injury bug last season, which included four different starting quarterbacks while finishing 3-7 overall.

With an offseason to heal and growth as a program, Eschbach says the team has grasped more of a spread offense that will still embrace the run game.

Additionally, Wawasee has competed in several 7v7 and 11v11 events during the summer, which Eschbach says could be a measuring stick for an upcoming slate of Northern Lakes Conference game that includes three 4A, four 5A and one 6A schools.
