WABASH, Ind. - Southwood High School senior Peyton Trexler will continue his football career at Marian University. He signed his national letter of intent Friday to join the NAIA program.
Trexler stood out at wide receiver for the Knights that advanced to their second straight regional. He caught 72 passes for 1,849 yards and 33 touchdowns as senior. He tallied 4,171 yards and 75 total touchdowns in 3 varsity seasons.
Trexler is also a whale of a basketball player, averaging 19.6 points and 2.9 steals per game. For his career, he surpassed the 1,000 point mark. Southwood finished as 1A state runner-up.
Trexler plans to study business.
