Pickleball Rocks Academy preps Texas couple for regional tourney

LEO-CEDARVILLE, Ind. - With people coming from far and wide for the upcoming Great Lakes Regional Pickleball Tournament, the locally-based pickleball organization is helping two competitors get ready for the competition.

Bob & Irene Romagosa, of Denton, Texas, is one team who stopped at Leo High School’s tennis courts Tuesday to learn some tips from Fort Wayne Pickleball Rocks Training & Fun Academy. They have been playing pickleball for 5 years, They heard about the academy after meeting CEO Rodney Grubbs and his family at a tournament in Arizona.

The Romagosas will visit Northeast Indiana through Friday to learn more tips from Josh and Zach Grubbs ahead of the USA Pickleball Great Lakes Regional Tournament July 20-23.

Pickleball Rocks offers classes for novice, intermediate and advanced pickleball players. Pickleball Rocks is also represented in more than 30 nationwide tournaments per year. Parkview Sports Medicine is pleased to partner with the organization.
