FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Pickleball Rocks and Parkview Sports Medicine have formed a new partnership to help promote and teach the game of pickleball in Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio.

The Pickleball Rocks Training & Fun Academy brought to you by Parkview Sports Medicine held a grand opening celebration Tuesday night at SportONE/Parkview Fieldhouse. Everyone from first-time players to seasoned veterans had the opportunity to meet, play the game they love and learn about the growth of pickleball in the Fort Wayne area and across the United States.

The academy provides certified training and coaching for all skill levels, while putting on tournaments, clinics and camps for friendly competition.

Pickleball is likened to a combination of tennis, badmitton and ping-pong. Players use paddles and plastic balls in an effort to volley and score.

Pickleball Rocks, a family-owned organization, offers classes for novice, intermediate and advanced pickleball players. Pickleball Rocks is also represented in more than 30 nationwide tournaments per year.
